ESOMPERAZOLE AND DOMPERIDONE

 Esomperazole and Domperidone - 



This combination is used to reduce or inhibit acid secretion from stomach. This medicine is given with many other tablets. 

Working mechanism - here the drug esomperazole is proton pump inhibitor which reduce acid secretion and Domperidone is antagonist to dopamine , reduce feeling of nausea, vomiting etc. This medicine is given to neutralize or reduce acidity of stomach such that another medicine given which works in less acidic medium can work efficienctly. 

Uses -   . Mostly given with many antibiotics. 

              . Given with many other medicine. 

               . Reduce nausea and vomiting feeling due to medicine. 

                . Use to reduce acidity such that given medicine can work efficienctly. 

 Dose - given usually during ones a day with empty stomach or before meal. 



Brand - Esofine - DSR, esorol- DSR, Etc. 

Side effects - swelling of hand , feet  , face. 

          . Difficulty in breathing. 

           . Increased heart beat. 

           . Muscle stiffness etc. 

 Key point - . One should take it after doctor prescription. 

. Pregnant and breast feeding women should not take it without prescription. 

. Liver and kidney patients should consult doctor
